After a couple of months of ‘non-winter’, we're back to you

You haven't heard from us for a while–we’re used to the rhythm of the vineyard and luckily, our own seasons coincide with those of nature. Thus, we try to slow down a little and quietly enjoy the winter, a bit like our vines do. However, I was quickly disappointed with this winter. I expected, or at least I was hoping for, a lot of snow ( or at least rain ) ! Like all our fellow winegrowers, I was really worried about the lack of either, but the last couple of weeks in February saved us from drought!

The rains came and in Altalanga, there was even some snow and now the hills seem to be smiling once again.

We’ll be present at this event with the PiùFreisa Association, so you’ll be able to sample the new vintage of our much-loved Langhe DOC Freisa Lice 2021

EXCURSION TO THE BARBARESCO HILLS


The CAI - Club Alpino Italiano of Alba has organised an interesting circuit starting in Alba

and continuing to our cellar for a visit via a panoramic route through Treiso.

We will stop in Treiso for a picnic lunch.

IN THE VINEYARD


Nature is waking up. Now that it has rained, we expect the pace to pick up, but we're ready!

Our king of grapes, Nebbiolo (the early-ripening variety) has already been pruned and is ready to send out shoots! At the moment we're concentrating on our other, later-starting varieties.

In the meantime, next month we will begin to unveil a few details of our great news: a new vineyard!
