It's Christmas and time for our yearly recap.

ADRIANO MAGAZINE

December 2024

This year seems to have flown by even more quickly than usual.

The beginning of the harvest feels like yesterday and yet this week we are tasting the first results.

In December every year, right before Christmas, we get together and do a recap of the year, leaving the wines in peace to rest over the winter.

As I mentioned already, the harvest was complicated this year because of the torrents of rain that fell, but as always, grapevines are amazing plants and we were much impressed by their capacity to adapt, even to these conditions which were the exact opposite of last year’s.

This year's wines will be finer and more elegant–we have already noted the freshness of this year’s vintage. We also predict that 2024 wines will follow the market trend requesting wines with less alcohol. It is in fact, a year with very low levels.

You know what it seems like?

It seems like a year from the 80s, when it was almost difficult to achieve certain alcohol levels.

I ‘m really happy–until now, I have never experienced a vintage like this one and now I have!

And I have learned a lot this year…We will leave the wines to rest now until spring comes: the youngest wines like Dolcetto and Barbera will then go into bottles while Barbaresco and the more complex wines will begin their voyage from barrel to bottle.

We too, are in need of a rest and we’ll take advantage of this period to do it.

We’ll be closed from Christmas to Epiphany.

We’ll take some holidays and spend time with family to recharge for another new year.

We sincerely wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and Happy Holidays!

Thanks to all for sharing our 30th anniversary–it was great to celebrate it together with you.

A toast to all and see you soon!

  SOCIAL PROJECT

For Christmas, the crowdfunding for Michela’s special project has reopened:

THE SAPORI RECLUSI R-WOMEN PROJECT

The aim of the project is to give a voice and dignity to the role of women, starting with the challenges faced by women in Afghanistan. The idea is to draw attention through art to a little-recognised, or purposely avoided (because of the discomfort it evokes) existence and thus step up the discourse about the condition of women in contemporary society.

Our objective is to give a voice to Afghan women and keep the dialogue about gender equality alive, because it is an issue that concerns everyone, both here and abroad.

Together we can make a difference. Let's share, support and believe in it!

Economic support is essential to accomplish the more concrete part of the project: an exhibition of photography of 12 world-famous photojournalists, along with the catalogue of the exhibition. Details are available at the following link: https://sostieni.link/36837

Our very sincere thanks ♥️
