Tòiu: Our Barbera Superiore is now dedicated to our dad, Vittorio

Hello everyone,

I'm back after a while—time always flies by too fast. It’s hard to believe it’s already been three years since Dad Vittorio left us (May 24, 2022).

As every year, we remembered him with the memorial we organize in his honor: celebrating just as he would have wanted, with wine, football, and good food.

This spring, we also released the new vintage of Barbera d’Alba Superiore—2022—and we decided to dedicate it to him. From now on, this wine of ours, which never had a name, finally does—and it couldn’t be more fitting. Its name is Tòiu: the nickname Vittorio’s friends used for him.

Our Barbera Superiore has always been the wine that, for us, symbolizes conviviality—the kind that makes you want to sit down at a table with friends or family and share what you have. And that’s exactly who Vittorio, or rather Tòiu, was. He was the one who always invited you into the cellar for a toast, who shared everything he had—and if there was little to share, there was at least a smile for everyone.
